When you realize that this is just for his final year project, then you know that Ekomobong Finbarr is only just getting started.
Finbarr, who is an undergraduate student of Electrical-Electronics Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in Nigeria, built a solar-powered Tricycle (fondly called Keke Napep in Nigeria) for his final year project.
This tricycle has no engine but runs with a battery and solar panels arranged at the top. His elder brother, Aniekeme Finbarr Ukpong, said on his Facebook timeline that the tricycle can travel an impressive 11km without needing a recharge.
“Over the past few weeks, he has painstakingly produced and defended this solar-powered tricycle. His lecturers were completely stunned that he could pull this through.” He added.
Now your turn, if this young African youth was from your community, how would you motivate him?
